Optimal Timing for Testing Soil After Lime Application
About three to four years after liming is the ideal amount of time. This gives the lime time to work, and you are less likely to pick up lime particles in the soil sample that will affect the test results. The results will also show if enough lime was applied to increase soil pH to the desired level, or if more is needed.
